However Nintendo will be handling marketing of the Shovel Knight Amiibo in line with the rest of the figures. The announcement was made as part of Nintendo’s and according to reports Yacht Club Games will be handling the selling of the figures themselves. These rumors pointed to the impending release of the first third party Amiibo in the form of Shovel Knight and as has been recently revealed these rumors hold weight and Shovel Knight is indeed getting his own Amiibo. To date all Amiibo’s have had a connection to a major Nintendo game (Splatoon, Super Smash Brothers, Yoshi’s Woolly World and so on), but this is all changing.
